Things are getting interesting on the Apple iPad front:
Apple has owned tablets since it released the Newton, er, the iPad. But competitors, like the Nook, and the Kindle, have made inroads. The main difference between those devices isn’t only the operating system, but the size of the screen.
Now, apparently, Apple is getting on board with the idea of a smaller tablet, Spencer Ante reported this morning on the Markets Hub. According to various component makers in Asia, Apple is getting ready to introduce a new, cheaper, smaller iPad, maybe as soon as September.
Apple, of course, isn’t saying anything, but wouldn’t it be just like them to do this, and do it time for the holidays?
